Good to know

Before you press play.

Do I need Mandarin and English versions of the same audio?

Yes. This tool pairs an existing Mandarin recording with its English counterpart. The content and order should match; the timing and speaking pace don't have to.

Which files can I use?

MP3 recordings up to 50 MB each. Longer files are easier to process on a desktop browser.

Where is my audio processed?

The recordings are sent to a speech-recognition service to get sentence timestamps. The final audio is cut and joined in your browser, and we don't store your uploaded files.

Can I start with English, then hear Mandarin?

Yes. Open the track settings and choose English first or Mandarin first. Pauses default to zero, and you can add them if they help you practise.

Will songs or instrumental sections be included?

Speech recognition works best on spoken dialogue. Singing and instrumental sections may be skipped or aligned incorrectly.
